Practicality Skincare about us

My journey in the Health & Wellness industry began in Seattle, where I attended the Seattle Massage School—a small, nurturing environment with amazing instructors who took a wild-at-heart young woman and shaped her into a healer. When I was 18, I broke my sternum and fractured three vertebrae in an accident that changed the course of my life. The pain was excruciating, and the recovery was long and grueling. I had to leave college, a path I thought I was destined for, and instead, I found my way to massage school. It was there that I discovered a calling that went beyond mere career choice—it was a healing journey, not just for others, but for myself.

Not long after, I had an experience that’s hard to fully explain—an encounter that changed everything and led me to pack up and move to Sedona at 21, a place that holds very influential, strong memories of peace, but also a culture I had never experienced before. It was in Sedona where I truly found myself. I met my husband, and for the first time, I allowed myself to dream about what my future as a massage therapist could be. As I honed my skills in Ayurvedic treatments, hydrotherapy, and advanced therapeutic techniques, I began to envision creating a product line that would truly make a difference in people’s lives—products that were not just about skincare but about healing on a deeper level.

After Sedona, my path led me to California, where I took on lead roles at luxury resorts, refining my craft and deepening my commitment to wellness. Eventually, we found our way back to Seattle, where I joined Ummelina International. My time at Ummelina was transformative, as I played a key role in the growth and development of their wellness centers, gaining hands-on experience that would later inform every aspect of my work and my products.

But life had more in store for me. As fulfilling as my professional life was, I longed for something simpler, something that felt more connected to the heart of why I began this journey in the first place. So, we moved to Nebraska, where I found a community that needed not just a massage therapist, but someone who understood their struggles and could offer real solutions.

Then, life threw another curveball. In 2022, I broke my humerus—an injury that, for a massage therapist, is nothing short of devastating. My hand was paralyzed for nearly nine months, and with it, I feared I might lose the career I had worked so hard to build. But that time of forced stillness became a period of incredible growth. I channeled my energy into developing products that were practical, healing, and deeply rooted in my own experiences with pain and recovery. It was a renewal of my mental and physical health, and it reignited my passion for creating products that could help others heal as well.

Every jar, bottle, and bar of my products is infused with the hard-earned wisdom I’ve gained through my battles. I’ve seen the toll that physical pain can take—whether it’s the chronic ache that makes it hard to step into a store or the desire for a skincare product that enhances your natural beauty. My products aren’t just about skincare—they’re about providing practical, effective solutions that truly heal.

My background as a massage therapist is extensive, with experiences that include working with people I never imagined I’d meet in real life, and holding roles that some might say make me overqualified. But to me, it’s all about confidence—the confidence to get back up when life knocks you down, the knowledge to research and understand ingredients, and the drive to create the absolute best products that blend the gifts of nature with the advancements of science.

So when I say that my skincare line is crafted with a simple yet profound philosophy—balance—it comes from a place of deep understanding. Life is about balance, and this principle is at the heart of every product I create. My work is more than just a career—it’s a reflection of my life’s journey, my resilience, and my unwavering dedication to helping others find balance and healing in their own lives.
